Specialising in creating beats that can be used by artists to create tracks for commercial release, Deep Sub Beats are a Music production company based in the UK.
Along side producing commercial music, Deep Sub Beats obtain consultancy work for may different clients. Projects worked on cover a large number of varying fields in music production, ranging from the creation of meditation CDs to making music for video games and much more.
The Producers
The music published by Deep Sub Beats is created by two experienced music producers; Jacob Baggs and David Baleiwai.
Jacob is a Music producer and singer songwriter born and raised in Newbury. He has been around passionate music lovers all of his life therefore, music became his world from a very young age. This has translated to
him studying a BA(hons) Popular Music Performance and Production at University Centre Weston (UCW) in order to turn that passion and desire to succeed with his music into a reality. At UCW he completed a dissertation on Grime's music and culture. This has allowed the beats he creates to be relevant and extremely high quality. David is a music professional specialising in music production and sound engineering. Originally from the Republic of Fiji, David was raised and educated in the UK. David went on to obtain a Degree in Music Production, honing his recording, production and engineering skills. A keen music technologist, David's love of production sees him create unique and varied projects incorporating sound design, composition, orchestration and mixing. His music reflects his broad range of interests from Rap, Pop and EDM to Classical and film, with elements of each influencing his work.

Standard Lease
£20
Upon initial purchase of this lease you are entitled to the these forms of use until one of the following terms are met. When this occurs you can either re-purchase the lease or buy the exclusive rights.
- 2000 sold copies of a track using a DSB beat
- 25,000 streams on any of the following streaming services: Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and Google Play.
- 100,000 Views on Youtube or Vimeo.
- "(Prod. Deep Sub Beats)" must be included in the title of the song or video.
Purchasing a standard lease with Deep Sub Beats grants you a 1 week beat customisation period with 3 customisations allowed.
Premium Lease
£50
Upon initial purchase of this lease you are entitled to the these forms of use until one of the following terms are met. When this occurs you can either re-purchase the lease or buy the exclusive rights.
- 20000 sold copies of a track using a DSB beat
- 250,000 streams on any of the following streaming services: Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and Google Play.
- 1,000,000 Views on Youtube or Vimeo.
- Deep Sub Beats must be credited as the creator of the beat in the description of the song or video.
Purchasing a premium lease with Deep Sub Beats grants you a 5 week customisation period with 10 customisations allowed.
Exclusive Rights
£250
Upon purchasing exclusive rights to a DSB beat you then have unlimited commercial recordings and broadcasts. Similarly you also have an unlimited customisation period with infinite customisations allowed. This means you are able to use the beat however you like, it is yours.
the only catch being Deep Sub Beats must be credited as the creator of the beat in the description of the song or video.
Customise your Beats
Our USP
If you have fell in love with a beat, however there are certain things that you need to change to make it perfect for you, then Deep Sub Beats will make that happen for you.
When you purchase a beat with Deep Sub Beats you are given the option to customise your beat. Forms of customisations include:
- Extending or shortening sections.
- Changing the instrumentation in particular sections.
- Changing the volume of particular instruments in any given section.
- Removing unwanted sections
- Adding custom sections (£10)
All customisations, excluding the addition of a custom section, are completely free subject to how many customisations you are allowed. If you want more customisations than your lease allows than you can purchase additional customisations for £5 each.
Leasing and Exclusive beats' rights
LEASING RIGHTS
After purchasing a lease of a beat with Deep Sub Beats you will receive an encoded MP3 file of the untagged song, and/or a copy of the raw WAV file. The song file can be delivered digitally or through the mail on a CD. Leasing rights allow you to use the beat (or song) for ONE commercial recording or broadcast. This recording can then be distributed at your price for the amount of copies specified on your particular lease. Selling more than said amount means you must acquire a new lease or exclusive rights. You may also use the beat for non-profit promotional use or demos. You have full rights to record, alter, mix the beat/song in any shape, way, or form (except reselling the beat). You will receive a contract in the mail granting you non-exclusive rights to the beat. In the event that someone buys exclusive rights to the beat you have leased, your rights shall stand and the beat is still yours to use. You may also acquire new leasing rights if you sell more than the amount of copies specified since your contract predates exclusive sale. Deep Sub Beats will acquire no royalties from a beat after a lease has been purchased. You must however give full credit to Deep Sub Beats on all commercial recordings. Depending on what lease you purchase results in how this must be achieved. Upon purchasing leasing rights, Deep Sub Beats still owns the beat(s) and are able to resell the beat(s) to any other party until exclusive rights have been purchased.
EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS
You will receive a MP3 file of the beat (or song), untagged (free of soundmarks) and/or a copy of the raw WAV file. The song file can be delivered digitally or through the mail on a CD. Exclusive rights grant you unlimited commercial recordings and broadcasts. You have full rights to record, alter, mix the beat/song in any shape, way, or form (except reselling the beat). You will receive a contract in the mail granting you exclusive rights to the beat. You own the recording as a "work made for hire". Deep Sub Beats may no longer lease or sell the beat/song, except for prior leasing rights holders and on Deep Sub Beats' website and social media links (no downloads there). Deep Sub Beats will not receive a royalty from the sale of records or downloads. You must however give full credit to Deep Sub Beats on all commercial recordings.
SPECIAL USES: TV, Movies, Commercials, Websites
Charity organizations: can use song for free, but must give full credit to artist/producer
Student projects for school/college: can use song for free, but must give full credit to artist/producer
Commercials, In-house, company publications: for publications with less than 50,000 viewers exclusive rights suffice. Terms are to be discussed for larger publications.
Websites (less than 100,000 monthly hits): leasing rights suffice
Websites (100,000 or more monthly hits): must acquire exclusive rights
TV/Movie: terms are to be discussed
